EMDEN HISTORICAL SOCIETY & MUSEUM

WHEN:  Established in March of 2002

WHERE: Presently located in 2 upper rooms of the Emden Community House. (In Time we hope to be in a ground level location in order to be accessible to everyone who wishes to visit)

WHY: The purpose of our Historical Society is to procure, preserve, and interpret whatever relates to History of the Emden Community for the present and future generations.

HOW: By displaying items of interest or reading material for people to enjoy which have been donated or loaned to the Society from families businesses, churches and schools.

WHO: Any person interested in the history of Emden and surrounding area can donate or display items of interest and/or become an  Emden Historical Society  member.

First established in March of 2002, the Historical Society is presently located in two upper rooms of the Emden Community House.  They hope to eventually be in a ground level location for accessibility.  The purpose of the Historical Society is to procure, preserve, and interpret whatever relates to history of the Emden Community for the present and future generations.  They complete this purpose by displaying items of interest or reading material for people to enjoy.  Much that is on display has been donated or loaned to the society from families, businesses, churches, and schools.  Anyone interested in the history of Emden and the surrounding area can donate or display items, or become a member of the Emden Historical Society.
